Can dogs and cats follow the same routine?

Not automatically. Even when a label covers both species, the need for grooming and the way it is carried out still require individual judgment.

Start with the actual need

Avoid assigning every pet a fixed bathing schedule. Consider the coat, current situation and advice from a professional familiar with the animal.

Brushing and bathing are separate tasks. Before selecting shampoo, confirm whether this occasion calls for bathing or simply appropriate coat maintenance.

Check the label and the handling separately

The label explains product suitability and use. The animal’s response determines whether an activity can continue. Waiting, noise, restraint and repeated handling remain relevant even with a suitable product.

Tell the groomer about earlier experiences and difficult parts of the routine. A species or breed name alone does not explain tolerance.

Choose a coat finish, not a species stereotype
